The Ultravelvet Collection

The Ultravelvet Collection, founded by Eric Aston and Meredith Rose, is a photography collective based on the principles of Lomography – namely, use of color and the camera itself can lead to beautiful, futuristic images.

The photography itself is shot with a vintage pinhole-style camera called the HOLGA, which originated in the 1960’s. The camera is manually wound, meaning that several photographs can be taken on a single frame of film, allowing for the layered style that is so prevalent in their work.

The colors and image is then digitally enhanced and released into the ether to make others (like myself) wholly aware of what life and could be.
