Siftables – From TED2009

The genius MIT grad student David Merrill, who was featured at this year’s TED, demos Siftables in this clip from the convention. 

Siftables are basically small computers that are about the size of a cookie and are actually tiles that kids can stack and shuffle around. What makes them amazing is that these tiles can not only do math and play music, they can talk to their friends, too.
