Daphne Guinness Exhibit // FIT Museum

Daphne Guinness will open her closet for an exhibition at the FIT Museum in New York City.

Guinness is the heiress to the Guinness brewing fortune. The 43 year old mother of 3 is also collector of haute couture, and a regular, if not important, influence on the world of fashion. One of her most notable purchases was the entire wardrobe of the late Isabella Blow, who died last year and was a mentor, and indeed patron, of the late Alexander McQueen.

Guinness has released 100 pieces from her personal collection to the FIT  (Fashion Institute of Technology) Museum for a special exhibit. Amongst the items are never-before-seen McQueen pieces, films, and some of Guinness’ own creations.

The exhibit begins on 16 September 2011.
